 You can terminate your give notice in your ISKAM account – section "Accommodation"  -> "Accommodation resignation".

Here you can choose a specific date, but at least 30 days from the date of the notice

After that, don´t forget to confirm

Connection and registration of PC/NTB


1. In your room, connect your laptop to the internet socket using a cable.
2. Turn off Wi-Fi on your laptop.
3. Go to the website https://koleje.jcu.cz/ (you can access it even without internet registration) and use the link "Přihlášení studentů JU do ISKAM"

4. Log in with your username WITHOUT the at symbol and suffix!
5. You will be redirected to your ISKAM account. Here, in the top bar, expand the Accommodation item and from the expanded menu select the "Internet Request" item.

6. In the following dialog, click the red button "Attempt to load MAC". After a while, a group of letters and numbers should appear in the field. Then click the blue button "Connection Registration".

7. If a successful registration message appears, wait approximately 10 minutes and restart your laptop. After the restart, the internet should be fully functional.

Connection to Wi-Fi network of JU


Step 1: Activate the wireless network on your laptop

Make sure that the wireless network is enabled. Most laptops have a physical switch or a keyboard shortcut to turn the wireless interface on or off. You can activate this function by pressing the corresponding key or button.

Step 2: Find available Wi-Fi networks

Click the Wi-Fi icon in the bottom right corner of the screen (Windows) or at the top of the screen (macOS). This will display a list of available Wi-Fi networks within range. You should be on the USB campus, where the EDUROAM Wi-Fi network is available.

Step 3: Select a network to connect to

Click on the EDUROAM Wi-Fi network name. Keep in mind that EDUROAM is a secured network, and you will need to enter a username and password.

Step 4: Enter your password

Enter your username in the format: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and the password you set up in the IDM portal. If you have not set a password yet, go to the section Password settings, freeradius password, and university e-mail, which you can find on this page.

Step 5: Wait for connection

After entering the password, wait until your laptop successfully connects to the network. You can confirm this by checking the Wi-Fi icon, which should indicate that you are connected.

Step 6: Test the connection

To verify that you are successfully connected to the internet, open a web browser and load any webpage.

By following these steps, you should be able to connect your laptop to the Wi-Fi network. Please note that the procedure may vary slightly depending on your operating system and specific device, but in general these steps cover most situations.

Internet Connection at JU Dormitories


Rules for Connecting to the Dormitory Internet Network
• Be a student of JU
• Be accommodated in JU dormitories – a signed accommodation contract is required
• Own network equipment including cabling (RJ45 data cable)
  o PC or laptop with a network card
  o Switch, external network card

To use Wi-Fi, a password set in IDM for Wi-Fi and VPN is required.
A device capable of receiving a Wi-Fi signal, preferably not outdated.

It is forbidden to use personal devices transmitting a Wi-Fi signal (APs, routers, etc.) in JU dormitories. If you insist on using your own router or another device transmitting a Wi-Fi signal, you must submit a written request to the dormitory IT department at the email address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Any other form of request will not be accepted. The request will then be assessed, and you will receive a decision along with instructions on how to connect the device.

Common Issues

  • If you move to another dormitory, the internet will stop working
  • If you change your PC/laptop, the internet will stop working.
  • If you have a LAN-USB adapter and change it after registration, the internet will stop working.
