Connection and registration of router
1. In your room, connect your router to the internet socket using a cable. (On the router, you must use the WAN port, sometimes marked in blue; using any other port will not work)
2. Connect to your WiFi.
3. To find and check the correct address, go to our MAC app at mac.jcu.cz (it also works even if your connection shows No Internet)
4. Go to https://koleje.jcu.cz/ (you can access it even without internet registration) and use the link “Přihlášení studentů do ISKAM”.
5. Log in with your username WITHOUT the at symbol and suffix!
6. You will be redirected to your ISKAM account. Here, in the top bar, expand the Accommodation item and from the expanded menu select the "Internet Request" item.
7. In the following dialog, click the red button "Attempt to load MAC". After a while, a group of letters and numbers should appear in the field. Then click the blue button "Connection Registration".
8. After registration, wait about 10 minutes and restart the router (unplug it and plug it back in). After the restart, the internet should be fully functional.

Discounted Menu and New Salads
Starting Monday, April 7, 2025, we are introducing a Discounted Menu at all canteen outlets. This means a ready meal + soup for only 10 CZK!
From Monday, April 7, 2025, you can also order salads at the Teologická, Kněžská 8, and K5, J. Boreckého 27 canteen outlets! Additionally, we are expanding their selection, including in the AK buffet and JU Café, to a total of 7 types.
To the existing salads: pasta with vegetables, Šopský, and vegetable with chicken, we are adding the popular classic pasta salad with vegetables complemented by chicken, based on your numerous requests. You can also enjoy these new additions:
✅ Vegetable salad with mozzarella and olives
✅ Spring salad with avocado and tempeh
✅ Gluten-free pasta salad with chicken (for our customers with a gluten-free diet)
Be sure to come and taste them, and don't forget! For JU students, the subsidized price also applies to salads!

Dear Diners,
We are pleased to announce that starting from November 4, 2024, the canteen’s serving hours will be extended until 2:00 PM. This extension applies to the main dining hall and the pizza section. It does not apply to the quick meals and outlets outside the main canteen building. The last serving of pizzas will be until 1:45 PM.
Additionally, starting from November 4, 2024, the opening hours of the AK Buffet will also be extended. The new opening hours will be Monday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Besides the new opening hours, you can also look forward to a new range of hot and cold drinks and hot and cold snacks at the AK Buffet.

In order for the internet to work on your campus, you need to register an internet connection. The prerequisite is that you have a signed accommodation contract.

Turn off wifi on your laptop.

Go to https://koleje.jcu.cz/ (you can get there even without Internet registration) and use the link " Přihlášení studentů do ISKAM ".

Log in with your login name WITHOUT a "@" and suffix!

You will be taken to your ISKAM account. Here in the top bar, expand the item Accommodation and select the item "Request for Internet" from the expanded menu.

If a message about successful registration subsequently appears, wait about 10 minutes and restart the laptop. After the restart, the internet should be fully functional.
What to watch out for!

If you move to another dormitory, the internet will stop working.

If you change the laptop, the internet will stop working.

If you get a wifi router and connect your registered laptop through this router, the internet will stop working.

If you have a LAN-USB adapter and change it after registration, the Internet will stop working.
